Post High Learning Center has a progressive, forward thinking staff dedicated to providing its students with programs that develop job skills, independent life skills, and a variety of recreational activities.
By the time participants leave the program at age 22, they will be able to live a fulfilled life, up to what their mental and physical capacities will allow. They will have learned : (1) How to learn, (2) How to transition learned job skills to employment opportunities in the community (3) How to take care of their personal needs through learned life skills, and (4) How to find enjoyment by being involved in recreational activities and the reward of service to others.
2015-2016 School Year
The school year is advancing quickly. The first term has passed and the students are being challenged and developing life skills and enjoying recreational activities.
We would like to give a huge thanks to a wonderful Eagle Scout: Patrick Heiner. This young man is a member of Troop 330 of the Boy Scouts of America. His troop leader is Borden Jenkins. His parents are Sean and Vicky Heiner. Because of this great young mans' efforts, our school is now the proud owners of 6 new work benches. Because of this young mans' drive and skills, he was able to lead a troop of volunteers to make these benches. These benches will be of great value and use for many years to come.
